Senior police officials, in response to special instructions from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, on Sunday conducted an on-site inspection of security arrangements at various churches and duty points in the federal capital, ordering officials to expedite screening procedures.
During their tours, the zonal superintendents of police (SPs) met with officers and instructed them to make the checking process for individuals and vehicles more purposeful to ensure public safety.
Deployed personnel were directed to maintain constant vigilance and to immediately communicate any suspicious activity or individual to the relevant authorities. The inspections were part of a broader initiative to implement effective security measures throughout the city.
A key directive also focused on community relations, with officials being reminded to treat citizens with courtesy and respect. This approach is intended to fortify the trust between the public and law enforcement.
An official communication reiterated that the foremost priority of the Islamabad Police is the safeguarding of citizens” lives and assets, confirming that all current security protocols are aligned with this objective.
Authorities also issued an appeal for public cooperation, urging residents to report any dubious individuals or activities to their nearest police station or via the “Pucar-15” helpline.
