Punjab Police remained on high alert across the province, including Lahore, under a comprehensive security plan for the 9th of Muharram.

Over 100,000 law enforcement personnel were deployed to maintain peace and order. In Lahore alone, over 10,000 personnel were assigned to protect processions and religious gatherings.

Authorities utilized state-of-the-art surveillance technology, including the Safe City Authority network and district cameras, to monitor activities. District control rooms remained in constant contact with the central control room at the Chief Police Officer (CPO) office to ensure prompt communication.
