Senate’s Acting Chairman Visits Acid Attack Lady Survivor in Karachi

Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan visited Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi to inquire after Dr Mah Noor Nasir, who sustained injuries in a tragic acid attack.

According to Senate office inofrmation today, during the visit, the Acting Chairman Senate met Dr Mah Noor Nasir and her family, expressing his deep sympathy and solidarity with them. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for her swift and complete recovery and assured the family of the nation’s unwavering support during this difficult time.

Speaking on the occasion, Khan strongly condemned all forms of violence against women, particularly heinous crimes such as acid attacks. He said that such acts were abhorrent, had no place in a civilized society, and constituted a grave violation of human dignity and fundamental rights.

As a gesture of support and encouragement, the Acting Chairman Senate presented Dr Mah Noor Nasir with a bouquet of flowers and gifts. He praised her courage, resilience, and determination in the face of adversity, emphasizing that she was not alone in her struggle and that the entire nation stood with her.

Khan described the attack on Dr. Mah Noor Nasir as deeply distressing and reprehensible. He appreciated the efforts of the law enforcement agencies and the support extended by the provincial government, noting that the perpetrator of the attack had been eliminated and that justice had been served. He emphasized the need for continued vigilance and effective enforcement of the law to prevent such crimes in the future.

The Acting Chairman also received a detailed briefing from the hospital administration regarding Dr. Mah Noor Nasir’s medical condition and treatment. He commended the hospital’s medical team for providing high-quality healthcare and professional care.

Concluding his visit, Khan prayed for Dr. Mah Noor Nasir’s early and complete recovery and reiterated that the nation stood firmly with her and her family during this challenging period.
