FAISALABAD: A seventh class girl student died of heatstroke in Faisalabad where temperature hit 45 degrees centigrade on Friday.

According to a report, the student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kanjwani fainted from the heatwave when she came out of the examination room in Faisalabad. The schoolgirl named Sana was immediately shifted to the hospital but she did not survive. Faisalabad police handed over her body to the heirs.

Met office has reported today that the day temperatures could rise by 07-09°C above normal in Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while 06-08°C above normal in Sindh and Balochistan. General public has been advised to take precautionary measures to avoid heat wave.
