The local bullion market saw a significant downturn on Tuesday, causing a major decrease of 10,700 rupees in the per tola price of 24 karat gold.
After this significant decrease, the new per tola price of 24 karat gold became 459,462 rupees. Similarly, the 10-gram price of 24 karat gold also sharply decreased by 9,174 rupees, and the new price came to 393,914 rupees.
Investors in 22 karat gold were also affected by this, as its 10-gram value decreased by 8,410 rupees, bringing the latest market price to 361,100 rupees.
This bearish trend in the local market reflects a significant decline in the international arena, where the value of gold closed at 4,371 dollars per ounce after a decrease of 107 dollars.
The silver market also could not remain safe from this negative trend, and a significant decrease was recorded in its local prices. The per tola price of 24 karat silver decreased by 145 rupees, coming to 7,930 rupees.
Correspondingly, the 10-gram price of 24 karat silver decreased by 125 rupees, and its new price was recorded at 6,798 rupees. On the global level, the value of silver also decreased by 1.45 dollars and came to 74.55 dollars per ounce.
