Sindh CM Claims Pakistan Has Defeated India on Diplomatic and Political Fronts

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday asserted that Pakistan had defeated India on diplomatic and political fronts in addition to the battlefield, while also calling for unity across the Muslim world in response to Israeli aggression that has led to the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians.

Speaking to the media after a commemorative visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, the chief minister reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and stated the country had successfully countered Indian propaganda.

The occasion for his remarks was the 149th birth anniversary of the Founder of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Mr Shah, accompanied by members of the provincial cabinet and senior officials, paid homage at the mausoleum by laying a floral wreath and offering Fateha.

In his comments, the chief minister stated that Quaid-e-Azam’s lifelong struggle offers enduring lessons in public service, justice, and the supremacy of the Constitution. He stressed that the nation”s progress is contingent upon adhering to the founder”s guiding principles of constitutionalism, rule of law, and equality.

‘The path to Pakistan’s progress lies in following the principles of Quaid-e-Azam. We are committed to building a strong, just, and prosperous Pakistan in line with his vision,’ he remarked, adding that the Sindh government is advancing its public welfare mission in light of these ideals.

Mr Shah also paid tribute to other national figures, including Shaheed Liaquat Ali Khan, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for making Pakistan a nuclear power, and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for strengthening the country’s defence with missile technology. He also offered tributes to the President, Prime Minister, and Chief of Defence Staff, and described PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the ‘guarantor of the country’s future.’

Highlighting provincial development initiatives, the chief minister noted that electricity was being generated from indigenous coal in Thar. He mentioned the launch of the Nabir Sar to Thar Coal Field water supply project to support the power plants and the establishment of a technology park at NED University.

He stated that after the successes of 2025, the country was entering 2026 with renewed hope and determination, stressing that national unity is essential for progress and stability.

On behalf of his cabinet, Syed Murad Ali Shah congratulated the nation on the Quaid’s birth anniversary and extended greetings to the Christian community on their religious festival.
