Six Pakistani squash players have reached the quarterfinals of the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship 2025, marking their dominance on the second day of the tournament in South Korea.
Pakistani players secured impressive victories across multiple age categories. Top seed Nauman Khan and Muhammad Suhail Adnan continued their winning streaks in the Under-15 and Under-13 divisions respectively, defeating their Malaysian opponents in straight sets. Ahmed Rayan Khan caused an upset in the Under-15 event, overcoming the second-seeded Indian player.
In the girls’ Under-15 category, Sehrish Ali triumphed after a tough contest against her Hong Kong opponent, while Mehnur Ali secured a straight-sets victory in the Under-13 category.
Despite strong performances, not all Pakistani contenders emerged victorious. Anas Ali Shah lost a closely fought five-set match in the boys’ Under-19 category, while Muhammad Umer Arif was defeated in the Under-17 division. Mahoor Ali also exited the tournament after a tough encounter in the girls’ Under-17 division.
Abdullah Nawaz secured his place in the boys’ Under-19 category quarterfinals after a straight-sets victory against his Indian opponent. These victories highlight the strength of Pakistan’s junior squash contingent on the Asian stage.
