Minister: (Asad reaffirms commitment to back just struggle of Kashmiris)

ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue to back the just struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.

He was talking to MNA and member Kashmir Committee Naureen Farooq here on Saturday. The Speaker said India’s 5th August 2019 illegal steps in the occupied territory have exposed its true face before the world. Asad Qaiser said the ministry of foreign affairs has been given directions for conduct of an international Kashmir Convention this year.

The Speaker and Member Kashmir Committee Naureen Farooq also discussed the formation of an All Parties Parliamentary Group to highlight the Kashmir dispute at the international level. He said Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of the partition of the sub-continent and its resolution is imperative for regional peace and stability.

ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said the government is fully committed to the cause and aims to generate an educated workforce build empathy and tolerance and rapidly improve Pakistan’s positioning in the global market.

 

He expressed these views while addressing the International Virtual Conference on Pakistan-United Kingdom Education Gateway on Tuesday.

 

He said 150 million young people are Pakistan’s greatest asset and utilizing this potential appropriately would help achieve socio-economic development of the country.

 

The Speaker National Assembly said that a substantial allocation of Rs160 million has been made as an investment in our youth’s development through the Knowledge Economy.

 

He also commended the tremendous work done by the British High Commission and the British Council Pakistan in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in building opportunities for the advancement of higher education, research and development.

ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that 16th December reminds us the tragic and barbarous acts of extremists and terrorists who killed innocent children and Teachers in Army Public School, Peshawar for their nefarious designs.

 

He said such barbarity and cruelty is unprecedented as no religion allows killing humanity. He said scarifies of the innocent children of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar will not go wasted and the scourge of terrorism and extremism would be rooted out from the society.

 

He expressed these views on commemoration of the tragic incident of 16th December 2014 when more than 100 children and teacher were martyred.

 

The Speaker said that the Pakistani nation and leadership took a clear and categorical decision for an indiscriminate action against terrorists after the APS incident. He said Pakistani is a Nation which is matchless in bravery and resoluteness and would emerge as victorious and prosperous at the end of the day.

 

He remarked that Pakistani nation would always stand with the bereaved families and would continue to share their inexpressible grieve.

 

He said with the support of nation, the Armed forces have achieved peace and harmony in the country through Zarb-e-Azab operations. He mentioned that the way our armed forces tackled scourge of terrorism and extremism had been acclaimed worldwide.

 

Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri also expressed his deep grief on the sad incident. He said the people of Pakistan were resilient and has withstood the hardest times.

 

He expressed his optimism that with the concerted efforts of the government and the Armed forces, the scourge of terrorism would be exterminated forever.

ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has underlined the need for cementing parliamentary contacts between Pakistan and China for further cementing bilateral relations.

 

Talking to Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong here on Wednesday, he said the present government is committed to take that exemplary relation to new heights.

 

He said Pakistan is proud of its all-weather unique friendship and strategic partnership with China.

ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that supporting the cause of Kashmir on every regional and international forum would continue till the resolution of Kashmir dispute.

He resolved to utilize all possible channels to highlight and sensitize the world about atrocities being committed on innocent Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

He said Indian atrocities would not last longer and the people of Kashmir would soon get their basic right of self-determination. He expressed these views while addressing the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) in Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

He said highlighting the atrocities and violations of basic rights have always been the priority of the incumbent Government. He said the peace of the region as well as of the world is dependent upon the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and as per the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

He said the brutalities inflicted by Indian Army were felt by each Pakistani and each Pakistani stood shoulder by shoulder with their Kashmiri brethrens. He remarked that Parliament of Pakistan had raised the Kashmir issue at all national and international forums.

The Speaker said the incumbent government is especially focusing on the welfare of needy and destitute. He said establishing welfare and rehabilitation centers with the help of different welfare organizations has been his priority.

He mentioned that establishing the welfare city for orphans and street children in Alamaabad Swabi is in progress. He resolved to continue working for the welfare of the needy and destitute in all parts of the country. He assured his all-out support to legislate for welfare of the needy people.

Asad Qaiser lauded the passion and determination of Ch. Muhammad Akhtar for his endless efforts to establish and successfully manage Orphanage House in MirpurAzad Kashmir. He said sincerity and persistency are required to achieve goals and objectives in life. He said that the expertise of Ch. Muhammad Akhtar would be utilized to make such centers.

While addressing the children of Kort, he said that they should not feel themselves homeless and hapless as every Pakistani stands with them. He advised the children to dream big and then strive hard to achieve these dreams.

He also advised to children to be hard worker to achieve their dreams. Earlier, the Speaker also inaugurated the Sports academy in Kashmir and prayed for the continuity of sports activity in the Mirpur Azad Kashmir.

The anniversary ceremony was attended by Ex-Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, chief Patron of Orphan Refugee Trust Ch. Muhammad Akhat, Hurrait leader Rana Muhammad Ahmed, the Finance Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Farooq Skandar Khan, the large numbers of Pakistani expatriates from different countries.

ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has invited EU investors to invest in Pakistan to contribute to economic development of the country.

Talking to EU Ambassador in Pakistan Androulla Kaminara here on Tuesday, he said Pakistan has vast potential of investment in various sectors. The Speaker said the present government has introduced investment friendly policies for development of economic and industrial sectors.

He said the projects being executed under CPEC have accelerated economic activity in the country. He said peaceful Afghanistan is imperative for peace and progress in the region, including Pakistan.

The EU Ambassador said steps are being taken to enhance volume of trade with Pakistan. She said the EU mission will continue playing its role for improving parliamentary cooperation. She said European Union will also continue to extend its cooperation for socio-economic development in Pakistan, including infrastructural development.

Islamabad:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Monday underlined the need for intensifying cooperation in energy and trade sectors for tapping unexplored potential in Pakistan.

He said Pakistan attaches immense value to its friendly relations with Hungary and desires for enhancing long-lasting cooperation. The Speaker said this during a call on by Mr Tivadar Takacas, Charge d’ Affairs, Republic of Hungary here in Parliament House.

The Speaker said new areas of bilateral cooperation needed to be explored, which can give new impetus to strengthen the ties with Hungary. He said there were plenty of investment opportunities in agriculture, energy, tourism and infrastructure in Pakistan that could benefit Hungarian investors.

He appreciated Hungarian scholarship program for Pakistani students to study in Hungary and stressed for increase of its number with special focus on students from less developed areas.

Referring to the Pakistan-Hungary Parliamentary Friendship Group in National Assembly, the Speaker said that this group would be an apt opportunity to expand bilateral parliamentary relations. He said exchange of parliamentary delegation would help peoples’ representatives to exchange views and learn from each other experiences.

Hungarian Charge d’ Affairs, Mr Tivadar Takacas said his country also strongly desires to strengthen its ties with Pakistan. He informed that Hungarian oil exploration companies have extensively contributed in the hydrocarbon sectors for meeting Pakistan’s energy requirements.

He said Hungary was considering exploring new trade markets with the concept of expanding the sphere of its trade for enhancing its business activities. He agreed that parliamentary interaction would help in bring both the countries more closer.
