Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has commended the Pakistan Army for executing a “historic operation” in Wana, which he confirmed led to the rescue of more than five hundred students.
According to official information today, speaking to media persons at the Parliament House, the minister asserted that the successful mission would be remembered globally and predicted that the Wana operation would be taught as a case study in military academies across the world.
Tarar characterized the operation as a clear message to adversaries, claiming that Pakistan had triumphed over an enemy “four times bigger than it.” He further stated that the foe has “fled from field” and that the ongoing “proxy war is not a problem for us.”
Addressing legislative matters, the Information Minister expressed his firm belief that the 27th Constitutional Amendment will be passed if it is officially tabled for a vote.
He conveyed his wish that the opposition had engaged in a “candid discussion and clause-wise debate” on the amendment. Tarar criticized what he termed as “creating rumpus and building a narrative without reading the bill,” describing such actions as having “absolutely no worth.”
