Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has confirmed receiving instructions from his leader to prepare for a “street movement” alongside running the administrative affairs of the province. He stated on the social media platform X on Sunday that these instructions would be followed “in letter and spirit,” and dismissed all reports to the contrary as “personal speculations.”
This confirmation comes as Sohail Afridi is preparing for a visit to Sindh, during which an invitation for a meeting has been extended by the Chief Minister of Sindh.
In a statement, KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi acknowledged the offer, thanking his counterpart for respecting democratic traditions. However, the official prioritized his intention to meet people belonging to his province.
The meeting with the Sindh Chief Minister was made conditional, with the official stating that if it becomes necessary to address any “difficulty or problem” faced by individuals from his native area, he “will definitely meet.”
As part of the visit, the official announced that he will pay his respects at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Sunday, January 11, at 4 PM.
