Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, issued a stern warning against forces seeking to destabilize Pakistan, declaring the nation has a “zero tolerance” policy against terrorism during an inauguration ceremony on Wednesday. He condemned all attempts to undermine national security through external support or the use of proxy elements.
The declaration was made as Chaudhry officially opened the upgraded Liaquat Bagh Sports Complex. The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Provincial Minister for Sports and Culture Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, members of the provincial assembly, the Deputy Commissioner, and prominent figures from the sports community.
Addressing the audience, Barrister Chaudhry emphasized the government’s focus on youth empowerment and the advancement of sports. “Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, we are creating enhanced opportunities for healthy activities,” he remarked. “These state-of-the-art facilities reflect our dedication to nurturing athletic talent in Rawalpindi.”
The renovated complex boasts significant new features, including the first-ever dedicated athletes’ hostel designed to accommodate national and international teams. Additionally, a separate gymnasium for women has been established following special directives from the Chief Minister, a move aimed at promoting inclusive sports development.
Reflecting on broader national achievements, Chaudhry noted the country’s improved global position. “When our government assumed office, Pakistan faced economic challenges and international isolation. Today, through the determined efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, we have successfully restored Pakistan’s standing on the global stage,” he stated.
Reaffirming the country’s commitment to security, he underscored the nation’s unified stance against extremism. “Our security forces have made immense sacrifices, and we remain committed to ensuring they do not go in vain. All threats to national security will be met with unwavering resolve.”
