LARKANA:A special train has left for Nankana Sahib from Larkana railway station to participate in the 553rd birthday celebrations and rituals of Baba Guru Nanak in Nankana Sahib, city of Punjab. The special train included more than 1000 Hindu, Sikh and Bagri community men along with a large number of women and children who belonged to Larkana and Qamber Shahdadkot districts and other cities.
At the time of departure of the trains, there was a huge rush of pilgrims inside and outside the railway station of Larkana who came to board the carriages with their necessary goods. Many relatives of the pilgrims were also present at the station to bid them farewell. On this occasion, the people of the Hindu community told newsmen that every year we go to Nankana Sahib to participate in Baba Gurunanik’s birthday celebrations.
This year also they have made their departure with full preparation. They said that on the birthday of Baba Gurunanak, we will perform pooja and participate in various rituals. After the birthday celebrations, we will return in the same train, they added.
