Two young brothers tragically drowned while bathing in the Sindh Canal (irrigation canal) near the New Faujdari Police Station near Shikarpur.
The victims were identified as Raza Muhammad Sanjrani and Khair Muhammad Sanjrani, residents of the Plaza Cinema area of Shikarpur.
Eyewitnesses retrieved the boys’ bodies from the water and transported them to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for necessary medical and legal procedures.
Later, their bodies were handed over to their families. The boys’ uncle, Noor Muhammad Sanjrani, expressed deep sorrow, stating, “They had gone to bathe in the canal. We are unaware of the circumstances surrounding their deaths.”
The family expressed concern over wounds found on the head of one of the deceased and demanded a complete and impartial investigation.
Emotional scenes were witnessed upon the arrival of the bodies at the hospital as family members mourned their loss.
Although no official report has been filed, law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
