Nisar Abro, the Additional Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh and leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), speaking about the by-elections in Umerkot’s NA-213 constituency, stated that the defeat of those advocating for new canals on the Indus River and those involved in illegal land allotments is destined for the polling day on April 17.
Nisar Abro said that the opponents are flustered by the public support. He further stated that if peaceful voters are coerced through government machinery on election day, the public will respond to the canal supporters throughout Sindh.
He warned the corrupt rulers that if any foul language is used against our leadership, we know how to silence them. Nisar Abro added that the people of Umerkot have made their decision known by participating enthusiastically in the rally in favor of GDA and the Save Indus Movement candidate, Lal Malhi.
Criticizing the Zardari League, he mentioned that even with the use of government employees and resources, they couldn’t organize such a large rally as was witnessed in Umerkot.
Regarding the elections, he said that the people of Umerkot will take their revenge against the canal supporters by stamping on the peacock symbol of Lal Malhi on April 17.
