Unwarranted political pressure being applied to Bushra Bibi, Tells PTI Leader

A senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) official in Karachi on Monday sharply criticized the recent convictions of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, labelling the verdicts in what he called “fabricated cases” as a direct assault on judicial credibility and the public’s will.

Mansoor Ahmed Sheikh, Senior Vice President of PTI Karachi Division, asserted that the legal decisions represent a “blatant violation of the principles of justice” and are a clear manifestation of political victimisation.

In a press statement, Sheikh claimed that Imran Khan was being targeted specifically because he has emerged as the “true voice of the people of Pakistan.”

According to the PTI leader, who also serves as Chairman of Sadar Town, the reliance on “concocted cases and tailor-made verdicts” is not only an effort to sideline a popular public figure but has effectively held the nation’s justice system hostage.

He also expressed deep regret over the “unwarranted political pressure” being applied to Bushra Bibi, describing it as an indication of the intolerance being displayed against the party”s leadership.

Sheikh firmly stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would “never bow before oppression, injustice and coercion,” characterising the court rulings as a “dark chapter in history” that the populace would never accept.

Outlining the party’s future course of action, he announced that the PTI would continue its struggle at every level until Imran Khan is released. Sheikh added that the party would mobilise the public to raise a strong voice against this “injustice on every forum,” with the ultimate goal of restoring the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
