We will not let the sacrifices of the martyrs go in vain: MQM Pakistan

The leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) on Tuesday condemned the lack of accountability for those responsible for the Qasba and Aligarh tragedy, calling it the “darkest chapter” in the country’s history and lamenting that those involved were never punished.

These remarks were made during a solemn ceremony organized by the party’s district office to commemorate various national tragedies.

Addressing the attendees, District In-charge Khalid Tabassum and other officials, including Afaq Ahmed Khan, Salim Memon, and Mahmood Abbasi, termed the party workers who sacrificed their lives as the “fundamental asset of the movement.” They said that these “eternal sacrifices” are a “beacon of light” for all party members and pledged that their sacrifices will not be in vain.

The event was attended by a large number of people, including STC member Shafiq Ahmed, central APMSO member Haris Rajput, and numerous officials and workers from various party wings such as the elders’ wing and women’s wing, and Haq Parast elected local government representatives.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, patience for their bereaved families, and the progress and prosperity of the country and the nation.
