Widening road from Sibi to Tali project will facilitate people: Secretary

LARKANA:Abdullah Khan, Secretary, Implementation, Planning and Development Department, has said that the widening of Road from Sibi to Tali project would facilitate people of the area. These views were expressed by him during inspection of project “Construction/ widening of Road from Sibi to Tali”.

Khan said that the said project was being executed in 50:50 cost sharing between the federal government and the provincial government. He said that no compromise would be made on the quality of development work.

Giving briefing to Secretary, Implementation, Planning and Development Department, Deputy Project Director said that total cost of the project was Rs. 6066.992 million, adding that total expenditure was Rs. 1719.072 Million. He said that earthwork on 68 kilometre Road along with allied structure had been completed while work on the remaining portion was in progress.

He said that there was need to provide ample funds in the current financial year to keep the work on fast track. On the occasion, Commissioner Sibi Division, Shahid Saleem, Chief Engineer, Planning and Development Department and Chief of Section, Monitoring and Evaluation, Planning and Development Department, Rafique Ahmed Baloch and others were also present.
