A 19-year-old woman, Mehtab Solangi, allegedly ended her life by shooting herself in village Dora Doda within the jurisdiction of Halani Police Station on Wednesday.
According to a PPI report, while the family said that she committed suicide, but speculation in the area suggested she maight have been murdered, and the incident was being portrayed as a suicide.
Mehtab, daughter of Mumtaz Ali Solangi, was found dead from a gunshot wound, reportedly self-inflicted with a pistol. The body was moved to the hospital for further examination.
Community members have raised concerns over the circumstances of the incident, alleging possible foul play. Some residents claimed that local authorities might be involved in presenting the case as suicide rather than investigating it as a potential homicide.
Halani Police confirmed that an investigation was underway. Authorities assured that all aspects of the case would be examined to determine the exact cause of death.
