KARACHI:At least 43 more dengue fever cases were detected in Karachi city in a week, taking the reported cases toll to 970 since 1st January 2019.
According to the weekly report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue in Sindh, as many as 48 more dengue fever cases were detected throughout the Sindh province in a week, out of which 43 occurred in Karachi and five in other districts.
In July, a total of 220 dengue positive cases emerged throughout the province out of them 212 happened in Karachi and eight in other districts.
A total of 1027 dengue cases have been reported in Sindh province so far out of them, 970 were in Karachi and 57 in other districts. Four deaths were also reported in Karachi city due to dengue fever this year so far.
