Peshawar:Five people including a man and son were gunned down when two rival groups opened firing during a Jirga at Shabqadar, Batgram, district Charsadda on Sunday.
The Jirga was called in Batgram Ishara area to settle a dispute over injuries to one child who was hit by a motorcycle two days ago.
During the Jirga, after exchange of hot word firing was exchanged in while a man Fazal Rabi, his son Tahir and three other persons died on the spot. Three other persons were injured who were rushed to Peshawar.
The accused managed to flee. However, police lodged a case and began further probe.
