Freedom of Kashmir rally demands Aafia release

Islamabad:The sufferings and ordeals of Kashmiris and Dr Aafia Siddiqui are the same and they would Inshallah soon get freedom, said Aafia Movement Pakistan leader and noted neurophysician on the country, Dr Fowzia Siddiqui, addressing a protest demo and ‘freedom rally’ for Dr Aafia and Kashmir in front of Islamabad Press Club here on Sunday.

She said the dark night of atrocities is about the end and the suppressed people of Kashmir would soon get freedom. She said Dr Aafia and Kashmir would see liberation this year. She said the unity between the Kashmiri and Pakistani people has proved that the clouds of darkness over the occupied Kashmir would drift away soon. She said Modi has become a Hitler of the twenty-first century, but the sun of Indian atrocities is about to set.

Dr Fowzia said that the nations of whole world should support Pakistan; otherwise, they would be counted as silent partners in the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris people being carried out by the Indian occupation army. She demanded that curfew should be lifted in the occupied Kashmir and food and medicines be provided to the stranded people.

Dr Fowzia asked that Aafia Siddiqui should be freed from American prison, so that the daughters of Muslim world could feel security and peace. She said the ‘caravan-e-Ghairat’ events of the Aafia Movement Pakistan would continue. She said today we are here in Islamabad to raise voice for Aafia Siddiqui and the distressed people of Kashmir. She said the people, government, Pakistan army and all political parties of the country are on one page on the issue of Kashmir.

On the occasion, a large number of politicians, rights activists, writers and civil society members besides citizens gathered in front of the Islamabad Press Club and chanted slogans for freeing Kashmir and Aafia.

Defense of Human Rights President Amina Masood Janjua, PTI leaders and MPAs Seemabia Tahir, Abida Raja, Uzma Gul, Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Islamabad chapter president Syed Munirul Hassan Gilani, PDP Rawalpindi president Prof Iftikhar Afridi, vice president Chaudhry Aas Muhammad Meo, Muslim Students Organization Punjab chapter president Bilal Rabbani, Students Movement Pakistan President and writer Asad bin Azam, senior journalist and columnist Asfar Aman, writer Danish Abbasi, Positive Pakistan leader Abid Iqbal, Jamaat e Islami leader Shahid Shamsi, AMP leader Suhail Mehmood Awan, Islamabad’s councilor Tariq Gujjar, Owais Abbasi, Nadeem Satti, Wali Khan, human rights activist Tahira Abdullah, Muhammad Zakhan and others were also present.

PTI leader and spokesman MPA Seemabia Tahir said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. She said the people of Pakistan would continue to support the freedom struggle of Kashmir. She said till the freedom of Kashmir we are with the Kashmiri people. She said steps are being taken on the issue of Kashmir in leadership of Chairman Imran Khan. She said Pakistanis living in different countries of the world should also play their due role in highlighting the Kashmir issue. She said Aafia and Kashmir would be freed soon.

PTI MPA Abida Raja said the cruelty and inhuman behavior of Indian government has now become a dark part of the history. She said every Pakistani protest on disgrace of Aafias of Kashmir.

PDP leader Syed Munirul Hassan Gilani said the rulers of the Muslim world are still in deep slumber. They should wake up now, he said. He said this is due to our rulers’ apathy on Aafia issue that today women in occupied Kashmir are facing war crimes of the Indian occupation army.

Young writer Asad bin Azam said that the atrocities in Kashmir are mocking whole world community. He said the Pakistani nation would continue to support the suppressed Kashmiris.

Student leader and president of Punjab chapter of Muslim Students Organization Bilal Rabbani said occupied Kashmir is burring in fire. He said the inhuman war crimes of Modi and his occupation army in Kashmir have already surpassed the cruelties of Nazi Hitler. He said the unity of Ummah is the only solution to the issue of Kashmir. He said we cannot remain silent and every child of Pakistan would fight for the rights of Kashmiris. He said the occupation of Indian army in Kashmir is totally unacceptable.

JI leader Shahid Shamsi said that the rulers of Pakistan have shown the worst apathy in the issue of Aafia Siddiqui. He said due to cowardice of the rulers today our sisters and daughters are not safe in Kashmir and compelled to face atrocities of Indian occupation army.
