KARACHI: Protesting doctors, nurses and paramedical staff have said that they will not perform their duties in the government-run hospitals till their demands are met.
The healthcare workers of Sindh under banner of Grand Health Alliance (GHA) continued boycott of Outpatient Department (OPDs) on the fourth day. They said the government was not fulfilling their demands which included health risk allowance, health professional allowance and others.
Due to the protest, score of patients faced difficulty in Sindh province.
The medical staff at Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, National Institute of Child Health, Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital, Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad, Sindh Government Hospital Qatar Hospital and others hospitals continued protest .
Similarly, doctors, nurses and paramedical staff have also continued boycott of OPDs in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Kashmore, Dadu, Badin and others have continued protest.
