IT Minister inaugurates Health and Pharma Expo Pakistan

KARACHI:Federal Minister for Information Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Tuesday formally performed inauguration of the three-day Health and Pharma Asia International Exhibition and Conferences 2019, at Karachi Expo Centre.

Turkish Consul General in Karachi, Tolga Ucak and Consul General of Iran in Karachi Ahmad Mohammad attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The three-day biggest annual international exhibition of health and pharmaceutical is expecting the participation of around 500 foreign delegates of over 27 countries including China, Turkey, Iran, Canada, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, USA, Britain and Germany organized from September 24 to 26 by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Information Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui while talking to media highly appreciated the holding of 17th Health and Pharma Asia Exhibition and Conference 2019. He said that most modern medical equipment have been put on display by dozens of the leading companies of health and pharmaceutical sector representing different countries including United States, Iran and China.

Dr Khalid Maqbool also lauded the role of President Ecommerce Gateway, Dr Khursheed Nizam for organizing the exhibition on such important field.

He said that the provision of health and education facilities is responsibility of the state and the state should curtail its expenditures to pay attention to these sectors.

During the three days exhibition, the workshops on Diabetes and Basic Life Support: adult, child and infant and CME seminars on Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Midwives role are scheduled for the first day i-e September 24. Seminars on Cardiac Surgery, Infection Prevention and Control, Neurology and Maternal Health will be held on September 25. Orientation Session on the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE Step 2 CS) and seminars on Pediatrics, Infertility, Radiology and Safe Blood Transfusion will be held on September 26.

The companies belonging to health, pharmaceutical and research showcase their latest products at different stalls in the six halls of the Expo Centre Karachi. As many as 40,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition and over 15 seminars to listen the prominent national and international scholars.

The experts will share their experiences and expertise in research, developments and innovations on physical and dental health, Homeopathic, Ayurvedic, natural and organic medicine, laboratory technology, diagnostics, surgery, transplants, physiotherapy, patients’ referrals and diets, in their respective fields.

The event provides opportunities of learning, information sharing and cooperation to pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturers, practitioners, medical equipment providers, medical institutions and universities, hospitals, clinics, laboratories and allied industries.
