ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world are observing Indian Republic Day, today (Friday) as Black Day in protest against India’s continued denial of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
The day is being marked with complete shutdown in Occupied Kashmir and anti-India rallies and demonstrations in world capitals.
Call for observance of the Black Day and shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik.
To mark the day in Azad Kashmir, rallies and demonstrations are being held at all the Districts and Tehsil headquarters against illegal Indian occupation.
In Muzaffarabad, different political, social and religious organizations have arranged number of protest demonstrations and rallies to observe the black day.
A protest rally is being taken out under Kashmir Liberation Cell at Central Press Club Muzaffarabad. Leaders and representatives of various political parties, social and religious organizations will address the rally.
