Mayor inaugurates road in Muslimabad

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said Karachi has been facing a step-motherly treatment and the city which provides billions of rupees in revenue is not getting even millions to meet its requirements.

He said this while talking to media after inaugurating a newly constructed road in union council 22 of Faqir Colony, Muslimabad and visiting different areas of Orangi on Thursday.

Mayor i said Karachi is the backbone of national economy as this city runs whole country but it is now deprived of even basic facilities, adding the government must think on it before the cup of patience of citizens begin to overflow.

He said that the garbage lifting was also a major issue and time has come that we start thinking about this seriously, because poor sanitation and leakage from sewerage lines were spreading diseases in the city.
