LARKANA:On the eve of the International Women’s Day being observed today, a mother of six children allegedly committed suicide at her home in village Nabi Dad Umrani near Larkana on Sunday.
Ashraf Khatoon, wife of Nazar Hussain Umrani, the resident of village village Nabi Dad Umrani, allegedly ended her life after being disheartened over her husband insistence to get second marriage, the victim’s heirs told media.
They said Ashraf was found hanged at her house after which the area police was informed. The police reached the scene and shifted the woman’s body to Chandka Medical College Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The body was later handed over to her heirs for final rites.
