Villagers protest against highhandedness of Naundero police

NAUNDERO:Over five thieves allegedly entered into the house of Mumtaz Mirbahar in village Nandha Mohil, near here on Friday night, to steal his buffalo but the inmates woke up and started raising hue and cry which created panic and their neighbours also came out of their houses.

The thieves also found themselves in critical condition and they started running and aerial firing to keep the villagers away who were chasing them but villagers caught two of them who were identified as Zamir Mirbahar and Rahmat Morio.

On hearing the firing voice, Naundero police also reached the spot and villagers handed them over two apprehended thieves. The villagers including Bilawal, Arz Muhammad, Ali Gul, Rashid Mirbahar and others held protest demo in the morning and informed newsmen that they handed over two thieves to Naundero police but SHO Fida Langah and WHC has refused to lodge FIR against them which is his highhandedness. They demanded registration of the case.

They said that this incident has proved that police is involved in crimes such as thefts and thieves have their backing and support. They said they pass sleepless nights and there is no night when theft is not taking place in the villages which come under the limits of Naundero police station adding law and order situation if remote areas has worsened due to negligence of police. When media flashed their protest SHO was forced to register FIR No: 33/2019 against both accused and their three other accomplices under section 457, 380, 511, 148 and 149 PPC but even then police have not so far declared the arrest of both thieves.
