QUETTA: Steps would be taken at provincial level for rights of women. Women’s Day would be celebrated jointly to high light women rights in future.
These views were expressed by MPA Mohtarma Yasmeen Lehri while addressing women day ceremony organized by Women Development Department in collaboration with UNWomen here Thursday.
She said women should be provided opportunity to play their role in every sector so that they could play their key role in country’s development and other sectors.
She said to develop positive thinking in society women have to wage more struggle and they should raise for their rights jointly with decision making institutions.
Director Women Redevelopment Hafiz Inamul Haq Qureshi said that women were rendering valuable service for country and nation should not shoulder with men in every sector. Government jointly with civil society would continue to strive for all rights of women for their welfare, right in inheritance and living. He said government provides such an atmosphere to women in every sector where they feel them secure and decision was being taken at government level to stop violation of their rights
Provincial Head UNWomen Rehana Khilji, Station Director Radi Pakistan Sohail Khattak, Dr Rasheeda Panezai, Surriya Alahdin and others also spoke on the occasion.
Women were given awards for their best performance in various sectors of life.
Pakistan People’s Party and National Party also held separate functions marking Women Day.
