18 criminals gangs busted in Larkana claims DIGP Shaikh

LARKANA: As many as 18 criminal gangs were eliminated in five districts of Larkana Range in September 2021.

It was claimed in a statement issued by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Larkana Range, Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh, to the media here on Wednesday. In 59 police encounters which took place in the same month four criminals were killed and four were arrested in injured condition along with 111 other accused.

630 proclaimed offenders, 784 fugitives of law were arrested during the same period and 160 different weapons were recovered from their possession which include KK rifles, guns, pistols, cartridges and bullets.

453 contraband goods were also confiscated during the Drive against narcotic peddlers and traffickers which include hashish, cannabis, Ghutka, heroine, opium, 1317 litre of sharab and such cases were registered against the accused. DIGP Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh on the occasion said that campaigns against social evils will continue and enemies of society will not be spared at any cost.
