KARACHI:At least 46 more dengue fever cases were reported across Karachi city in last 24 hours, taking the reported cases toll to 15,068 since 1st Jan 2019.
Spokesman Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, while talking to PPI, confirmed that as many as 50 more dengue fever cases surfaced throughout the Sindh province in a day, out of which 46 were detected in Karachi and four in other districts.
A total of 46 people have died across the Sindh province out of them 44 were recorded in Karachi city and one each from Hyderabad and Ghotki, respectively.
In December, 803 dengue positive cases emerged across the province out of which 722 were confirmed from Karachi and 81 from other districts.
In 2019, a total of 16,221 dengue cases were detected in Sindh province out of which 15,068 happened in Karachi and 1153 in other districts.
