Umerkot:The 522 schools of district Umerkot are without building; however, solid strategy is being devised in this regard besides ensuring provision of basic facilities to all the schools.
This was informed by Deputy Commissioner Umerkot Nadeemur Rehman Memon at a committee meeting held at DC Office here on Thursday. The deputy commissioner said that the names of the teachers, who had expired or retired, would be deleted from biometric system.
He directed DEO Primary Naseer Ahmed Jogi and DEO Secondary Bilal Ahmed to take action against 535 teachers who were absent during February month besides initiating departmental action against 31 teachers who had been absent since long period.
He said that a list of teachers transfer should also be got approved at the DPCR platform as per need of the educational institutions.
District Coordinator of Local Support Unit Luqman Nohri told the meeting that process of appointing new teachers in district Umkerkot was being continued.
