AC sentences accused to 5 year imprisonment, fine of Rs.8.7 million

QUETTA: Accountability Court Quetta sentenced an accused to five year imprisonment and a fine of over Rupees 8.7 million in a case of looting people through embezzlement of money in name of fake housing scheme.

According to details accused Syed Mohsin Ali launched Housing Scheme in name of Pine Town in Baleli area in suburb of Quetta. Money was received form people but occupation of land was not given to anyone. Affectees approached NAB Balochistan. NAB completed investigation and filed a reference in the Accountability Court.

In the light of investigation of NAB team and NAB prosecutor Rashid Golra Accountability Court Judge Majeed Nassar sentenced Syed Mohsin Ali to five years imprisonment and a five of over rupees 8.767. In case of default of payment of fine he would undergo further imprisonment.
