Action taken against govt employees violating code

KARACHI:All government servants violating the code of conduct of General Election-2018 must be suspended, said Chief Secretary Sindh Azam Suleman Khan.

He issued these instructions to all administrative secretaries of Sindh government while presiding over a review meeting regarding the violation of Code of Conduct of General Election on Friday evening in Sindh Secretariat.

The meeting resolved to suspend all those servants of Sindh government who are violating the Election Code of Conduct.

The Secretary Implementation and Coordination SGandCAD Syed Mohsin Ali Shah briefed the meeting that on violation of the election code of conduct. He said action has already been taken against 48 employees of school education, 09 of local govt and 18 of health dept.

He said action has also been taken against 22 elected representatives.

He further stated that duty defaulters include 14 employees of Board of Revenue, 08 of agriculture, 05 of food, 03 of information department, 06 of Auqaf and 05 of home department including one DSP.

The Director Colleges Sukkur Region Abdul Bari Inder has also been removed, with the advice to report to SGAandCD (Services General Administration and Coordination Department), while four (04) District Chairmen Zakat have been dismissed.

Chief Secretary ordered to withdraw the powers of all Chairmen of Zakat Committees till the completion of election process.

Those who attended the meeting include Sr. Member Board of Revenue Dr. Iqbal Hussain Durrani, Administrative Secretaries, M. Usman Chachar (Health), Qazi Shahid Parvez (Information), Haroon A. Khan (Home), Secretary Colleges Lubna Salahuddin, Secretary Schools Dr. Alya Shahid and others senior officers.
