Muzaffarabad:AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has stressed for evolving a comprehensive plan to convert tourism into a profitable sector for the state.
Addressing a briefing in Muzaffarabad on Wednesday, he said development of tourism will help in alleviating poverty and overcoming unemployment.
Masood Khan said the historic places and shrines of the sufi saints can be made more attractive for the tourists both from home and abroad.
Earlier, Secretary Tourism Mrs. Midhat Shahzad said fourteenth tourist spots across the state have been identified which can be developed for attracting more tourists. Moreover, seven spots in scenic Neelum Valley can be converted into camp sites, model village, tourist resorts and amusement parks.
