Alleged terrorist killed, four arrested in rangers’ operation

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday claimed to have arrested four wanted members of a banned outfit from Gulshan-e-Maymar area of the metropolis.

According to a Rangers’ spokesman, on a tip-off about presence of an alleged terrorist, Musharraf Masud alias Saifullah the rangers and Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCL) police conducted a raid on a building.

During the operation, accused Musharraf Masud jumped from the roof of building and suffered severe injuries. The rangers shifted him to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, said rangers spokesman.

The deceased was stated to be wanted to police in various criminal cases including, extortion, target killing and kidnapping.

Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies’ personnel arrested four accomplices of deceased terrorist from the building and shifted them to undisclosed location for further investigation.

They also recovered weapons, two hand grenades, explosive martial form their possession.
