’Alumni plays vital role for academia’

KARACHI: Collaboration of academia and industries is a pivotal modern need and Department of Public Administration (DPA) has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the academia and industry by organizing such events on regular basis. DPA has emerged as a pioneering department of the varsity and produced talented and meritorious graduates who are serving on significant posts in the industries of not only Pakistan but in the whole world. These views were expressed by Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi, Chairman Department of Public Administration, KU while addressing DPA Alumni Dinner 2018 organized by Dept. of Public Administration KU.

He added that KU was committed to train the students to meet the new challenges of the corporate world. Our country needs such talented graduates who have a firm grip on latest techniques and could come with modern ideas.

Dr Ghazal Khawaja Humayun, Assistant Professor, DPA, KU presented the 2018 edition of Alumni Profile. The data of 600 alumni was updated in a printed form and distributed among participants.

“DPA is like our second home and we are proud to be a part of DPA KU. Organizing annual alumni dinners at DPA is aimed to bridge the gap between the meritorious alumni of DPA who are serving in the corporate industry and the current students”, Dr Ghazal added.
