Shikarpur:Yet another child died due to non-availability of dog-bite vaccine in Sindh province, where thousands of dog-bite cases are recorded this year.
The latest victim was 10-year Mir Hassan Abro of Village Daud Abro, district Shikarpur. His condition deteriorated due to non-viability of dog-bite vaccine. The child died in a hospital of Larkana previous night.
In whole Larkana division including districts of Shikarpur and Jacobabad, dog-bite vaccine is in acute shortage. However, the health department of Sindh is unable to ensure availability of the vaccine in affected areas.
