KARACHI:Another patient died of Congo virus in Karachi on Sunday.
A 75-year-old man, Muhammad Umar, son of Muhammad Yasin, a resident of Landhi, who was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre on Saturday night, passed away during treatment today.
Executive Director of JPMC Dr Seemin Jamali confirmed the patient’s death. She said it was the second death due to the Congo virus in a week.
Director Jamali said the first Congo virus-related death of 2019 happened on 11 February in Karachi.
