CHK breaks doctors and medical reps nexus

KARACHI:Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) management has transferred three doctors from Emergency Department to other departments over complains of prescribing costly medicines to poor patients.

The three doctors including Dr Qalb e Hussain, Dr Aslam and Dr Riaz Lakho were posted in emergency department since several years and were found involved in unethical practices. These doctors were found involved in unnecessary prescribing the life-saving drugs to poor patient in night and day shifts.

Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr Khadim Hussain Qureshi, while talking to PPI, said three doctors were transferred from emergency on recommendation of Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS-Security). He said no unethical practices would be allowed in institution and strict action would be taken against such elements.
