QUETTA:SandGAD through a circular has asked all the administrative secretaries to direct the concerned staff of Balochistan Civil Secretariat for making it sure that all the appliances are switched off before leaving/ locking the office.
Circular issued by Services and General Administration Department, Government of Balochistan says, “The winter season is on its peak and the usage of gas and electric appliances for heating purposes has also increased resultantly. During some years, it has been noticed that the incidents of gas explosion occurred, due to negligence / carelessness of staff for not keeping safety measures in view.”
It further says, “Now, again frequent reports have been received on leaving the gas / electric devices switched on before leaving the office by the responsible staff of various departments, which could be a reason of an unforeseen incident.”
