CM inaugurates five-day long anti-polio drive

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday inaugurated a five-day long anti-polio drive by administering anti-polio drops to the children at his office on Monday.

Giving the necessary details, the CM said 156,000 workers would administer anti-polio drops to one crore, 68 lakh and 80 thousand children of up to 5 years of age across the province. Hundred per cent targets will be achieved during this campaign ending on September 24, he said.

He asked the parliamentarians to play their role to achieve the goal of a polio-free Punjab. The field administration should strive hard to make this campaign a success and children coming from other provinces should also be administered this vaccine, he continued. Observance of corona SOPs should also be observed and no child should remain unattended, the CM concluded. Health Advisor Hanif Pitafi, secretary and additional secretary (Coord) of Primary and Secondary Health Department also administered anti-polio drops to the children.
