QUETTA: A cop was killed and another injured by unidentified armed men in Hazar Ganji area of the Quetta on Wednesday.
Police said unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire at a police vehicle guarding fruit sellers of the Hazara community. As a result, a cop suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot, while another sustained injuries.
Police said the attackers fled after swift action. Soon after the incident, police and law enforcement personnel reached the site and launched operation in the area.
The body and injured were shifted to Boolan Medical Complex Hospital Quetta for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.
