(COURT): Rangers attack: ATC hands over four accused on physical remand

KARACHI:,,, An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday handed over four accused, involved in serial attacks on Pakistan Rangers Sindh, to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on a 10-day physical remand.

The four accused, Suhail, Bashir, Anees and Khawand were produced before the ATC. The investigation officer (IO) of the case informed the court that four accused were booked under Illegal Arms and Explosives Act. The IO stated that the accused were involved in attacks on Sindh Rangers in Karachi and Ghotki in the months of June and July this year.

The IO claimed that accused were allegedly being funded by the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He sought physical remand of the accused. The court granted the 10-day physical remand of the accused and adjourned the hearing.
