ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the rape and murder case of Zainab at its Lahore Registry on Sunday.
Head of the Joint Investigation Team DIG Mohammad Idrees appeared before the bench and submitted progress report in this regard.
The bench directed the JIT to investigate the case from every aspect. The bench also heard a suo-motu case regarding the proper hospital-waste disposal on Sunday.
The bench also directed the concerned secretaries to review arrangements for the disposal of hospitals-waste in a proper manner.
It directed Punjab Environment Secretary Captain (Retired) Saif Anjum and Secretary Health Najam Ahmad Shah to submit report within fifteen days in this regard.
