CPLC, AVCC nab kidnappers, recover abducted child

KARACHI: The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) on Saturday in a joint operation apprehended two kidnappers involved in kidnapping of child Abdul Rehman.

As per details, Abdul Rehman, son of Mohammad Akram, aged five, was kidnapped on 29 December 2017 from Karachi’s PIB Colony.

The kidnappers had demanded Rs 5 million from the child’s family.

CPLC Chief Zubair Habib and DIG CIA Saqib Ismail Memon took immediate notice of this incident and formed a joint team, under the supervision of SSP Abdullah and Shaukat Ali Suleman, Deputy Chief (Operations) CPLC Sindh and Assistant Chiefs CPLC-CRC Shabbar Malik and Kashif Iftikhar.

After detailed investigation and with the help of technical details, AVCC CIA in coordination with CPLC, Kandhkot and Ghotki police conducted several raids in districts of Kandhkot and Ghotki.

After hectic efforts, they arrested a kidnapper namely Abdul Shakoor Golo and later conducted a raid in Ghotki and with help of Ghotki police arrested kidnapper Pervaiz Paroo and recovered kidnapped boy Abdul Rehman safely along with ransom amount.
