Demand Promotion for Increasing Immunization Coverage

Sher Ahmed Satagzai, the Health Department expressed these views while addressing a workshop organized by SMAAJ with the support of PCCHI.

Deputy Director Colleges Ms. RababHameedDurrani, Chairman of PCCHI Balochistan Chapter HameedullahKakar Chairman NHN Balochistan chapter Adil Jahangir was also present. Rasheed Shah, Chief Executive of MAAJ at the beginning of the workshop said that SMAAJ with the support of PCCHI, and health department Quetta worked effectively on children’s immunization in UC Hanna Orak and there are also plenty of difficulties faced.

SMAAJ reached to all targeted children and vaccinated them. He said that this a successful model working with health department also the opportunity to learn from this work, we also joined the people in UC Hanna Orak and drew a great success to our project. He further said the SMAAJ role was just social mobilization and demand created to mobilize communities to vaccine their children.

DHO Health doctor Sher Ahmed Daggai said that the public will have to give awareness that how much protection is needed to save a child’s life. In addition to civil society and scholars, the role of media is also very important for this purpose. He further said that parents should fulfill their responsibilities and do not show negligence about children. He appreciated the role and successful campaign in the society and said that despite facing all the difficulties in remote areas of the region, despite working with the Department of Health, SMAAJ has done work well.

Deputy Director Colleges, Ms. RababHameedDurrani said that educational institutions should give awareness about the importance of protective children in educational institutions so that academic institutions also play their dynamic role. HamidullahKakar and Adil Jahangir said that all the civil society network members in the vaccination campaign help with the Department of Health and at the community level, let the public know that they should save their children from dangerous diseases.
