QUETTA: Blind Action Committee Balochistan BACB staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club here on Thursday, demanding implementation of five percent quota reserved for appointment of disabled persons in government departments and framing rules of business of Balochistan Disability Act, 2017.
According to detail, a protest demonstration under the auspices of Blind Action Committee Balochistan was held outside QPC, demanding authorities for entertaining the demands of BACB. Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said that special persons of the province were being ignored.
They called on authorities to ensure the implementation of five percent quota reserved for appointment of disabled persons in government departments, frame rules of business of Balochistan Disability Act, 2017 and bear the educational expenditures of disabled persons. They said if demands of BACB were not entertained, they would stage a protest sit-in outside Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Chanting slogans “Rozgar hamara haq hey” employment is our right and “Taleem hamara haq hey” education is our right, protesters dispersed peacefully.
