Karachi:Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman greeting the nation on the occasion of Eidul Fitr has said the real Eid of this nation would; however, be the emancipation of its poor masses.
In a statement here Tuesday, he said it is heartening that political awareness of Pakistanis is rising with every passing day. He said we all have to work hard for making Pakistan stronger economically and politically. He said rulers, institutions, politicians and masses all have to play their due role to end corruption, nepotism and bad governance. He said the defense of Pakistan is in safe hands and future of this country is bright. He advised politicians to correct their direction and focus on issues faced by poor masses.
Altaf Shakoor said to end price hike, hoarding, joblessness and economic crisis it is a must to change our outdated electoral system and replace it with proportionate electorate system so that the real representatives of people could be sent to parliament.
He said the daughter of the nation Dr Aafia Siddiqui is still in a US jail and waiting her repatriation to Pakistan. He said she had already written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan, but nobody knows where this letter went lost. He said the Pakistani nation had high hopes that the government of Imran Khan would secure release of Aafia Siddiqui, but like previous rulers, the present ones are also disappointing the nation. He appealed to the nation to pray for the release of Aafia Siddiqui in Eid prayer congregations.
