KARACHI:A fire broke out in an Operation Theater of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) here on Saturday morning, which was soon doused without causing any loss of life or property.
An administrative official told PPI that the fire broke out at the operation theater, situated at the first floor of the NICVD which was extinguished by the fire tenders and rescue workers.
The fire created panic in the hospital but administration shortly controlled the situation with the help of rescue teams.
He informed that all trapped people were successfully rescued by the security guard.
One security guard received minor burn injuries during to rescue work. The operation theater of hospital was partially affected due to fire while no major damage was done.
The cause behind the incident could not be ascertained yet.
