KARACHI: The funeral prayer of a policeman, who was martyred in q firing incident in North Nazimabad’s Landi Kotal Chowrangi, was offered at DIG West Gulberg Office.
A special contingent of the police saluted the martyred and floral wreath was also laid at the coffin.
The funeral prayer was attended by Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal, IG Sindh A D Khowaja, Additional IG Mushtaq Ahmed Mehar, senior officers of Sindh rangers, and a large number of citizens.
On this occasion, the Home Minister, condoling with the bereaved family, paid tribute to the martyred cop.
The Minister announced that family members of the constable Shakir Ahmed will be entitled to all benefits and facilities in accordance with the rules and regulations.
According to police sources, Constable Shakir Ahmed embraced martyrdom when some unidentified miscreants riding on motorcycles sprayed bullets on him when he was on the way to Gulberg police station on early Friday morning.
